This photograph was taken on the beach at Skagsanden near Flakstad on the Lofoten Islands. The weather conditions had been very poor during an entire week on the Lofoten Islands. However on one evening the clouds lifted for a few hours leaving only a few whiffs behind around the mountains. Whilst the sun was setting the snowy mountains lit up in an almost red glow that contrasted sharply against the blue shade for a few minutes leaving the entire scene in mild pastel colours.
