There are two leucistic acorn woodpeckers, likely siblings, that have made a home near where I live. This particular one was doing a lot of re-arranging of resources at the granary tree. Because they both stand out from the other woodpeckers, I was concerned they might fall prey to a raptor, but I visited the park several months later and they were still together and appeared to be doing well.
