It was a stormy, cold, winter day in Piha, New Zealand. The beating rain had finally tapered off for a few minutes, when I walked down to the beach to take some photos. I was bundled up, freezing, and soaked, but was amazed at the surfers jumping into the water, catching waves, without a care in the world. I snapped this photo, just as this surfer was heading in to ride a set.
