This endemic Balinese Black Monkey was standing in the middle of the forest atop one of the largest trees around. After staring at the horizon he fell asleep as he drifted towards a tranquil slumber in his blanket of leaves. This species of monkey is of particular interest as it is an Balinese endemic subspecies of the Javan Lutang which is the overarching species found only in a few Indonesian islands itself. Furthermore, this species of monkey is consired threatened by extinction with vulnerable being the exact classification according to the IUCN Red List.
