I encountered this woman along the trek I took in the Lares Valley of Peru. She was selling items outside the residence where we stopped for a brief respite along our travels. I was struck by how comfortable she was when I asked her if I could take her portrait, and the beauty and wisdom that showed through her eyes. I love the simplicity of the lives that I met on my trip and the grace with which they encountered us as tourists in their land.
