"Withered Sunflower"

Fall semester I walked by a sunny little patch of sunflowers almost every day, on my way to classes at Texas Tech. They cheered me up week after week. As September became October and October became November, the cheery little sunflowers dried up and faded. Somehow they looked even more beautiful to me!
