Woman in a ghoonghat
A woman wearing a head veil called ghoonghat in a village in Pali district, Rajasthan, India. Some women in the Indian subcontinent, no matter their religions wear the ghoonghat to veil their heads and faces, outside and inside their houses, at all times, in all weathers. I read recently an article dated Dec 13, 2019 in The Economic Times (India) about this practice and how the Chief Minister of the State of Rajasthan in India has been making an appeal to the people in Rajasthan "to shed the age-old practice of wearing ghoonghat pratha and move with the times"
