In the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, I encountered this lady from the Kogi tribe. Kogi women are always barefoot and have a weighty farming responsibility among these indigenous people. Here, this tribe member carries her heavy haul of harvested bananas in a an intricately weaved satchels- made by young females among the clan.
