I visited Antigua, Guatemala, in March of 2023. Guatemala's economy had been devastated by the Covid pandemic due to its reliance on tourism. Guatemala was finally recovering as tourists returned. Despite this, these people greeted tourists with kindness and respect as they provided their artifacts for sale. The woman in this photo was assembling various trinkets for sale. I was impressed by her peaceful composure as she worked.
