20th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest People

This photo was taken in Narayani, Nepal during a village visit. This women welcomed us and even though there was a language barrier she smiled and demonstrated some of her daily tasks of their local living. She watched over as the kids and other visitors interacted and met the farm animals like chickens and goats on the land.
