While hiking around Lena Lake in the Olympic Mountains in Washington, we were delighted by all the mushroom and fungi varieties. I was stunned by the artistic beauty and bright yellowish-orange of this mushroom, Pycnoporous sanguineus, as it lie beneath a wild berry plant.
