17th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World

It was late afternoon and I wanted to go to this forest I have seen so many times when passing by from the big road. I launch my drone and flew up just above the treetops to capture the view. The last sunlight lit up the treetops, in the horizon you could see the mist slowly rising.
