World in our hands

Can anybody figure out how many birds are being killed everyday by human being - the most powerful killer of this planet. The wanton killing is done in various ways. One of the common is by netting. While walking along the countryside it is a common sight. The nets are rigged either to prevent the birds from destruction of their cultivated food grain or for saving their fishes or just for consumption. In a village I found this unfortunate tiny owlet who had completed its flight into the net .I hesitated but decided to show all, the ultimate impact of netting.I insisted the villagers for low level net instead of high one.
