Wrinkles of Experience

Tribal village of Buxa is situated in the foothills of Buxa Tiger reserve, most of the settlements are inside the core zones of the forest. The human animal conflicts are common and the villagers depend on the forest for food and wood. Many species of the forest have gone extinct and critically endangered due to poaching and smuggling. Some of the missions organized to create awareness and also develop the community with better facilities has proved to be successful. As a new initiative I now work closely with the tribal settlements to rehabilitate poachers and convert into naturalists.
