Jesús Luis, a Yanesha’ elder skilled in crafting traditional instruments and artifacts, recalls a past encounter with a jaguar by the river. He wears a jaguar tooth necklace he says gives him strength. In the background, his wife Margarita drinks masato, a traditional cassava beverage.
