Yellow bellied water snake rendezvous
This picture was taken while on a hike in a nearby park. I was passing a tree at the edge of the lake noticed movement at the base of the tree. What a surprise. There were a dozen yellow bellied water snakes congregating in the roots of the tree. Started taking some pictures and a larger snake came in the scene and joined the others. What a sight to see! I would have to believe this is a once-in-a-lifetime picture.
