22nd Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Yellow-rumped warbler in fall

Every fall, a large number of birds migrate from the north to our place to rest and replenish energy before continuing to migrate south. Autumn is the most beautiful season in Canada, with red maple trees. That day, this little bird was catching insects on a maple tree, and I was lucky enough to take a photo of it catching a white moth.
