Yellow spring wildflower blooming after winter rains
This wildflower was found in a field in an open space near the Southern California Coast. The winter rains brought so many new flowers, I had been hiking to see all of the new growth where normally it had been very dry. I believe this flower is black mustard, a plant cultivated for thousands of years that is normally found in the Midwest.
