Yellowstone Sunrise with Old Faithful Eruption
Sunrise from Black Sand Basin, Yellowstone National Park, Friday, July 27, 2018, at 06:27:59, with eruption of Old Faithful Geyser on the horizon at right, behind the evergreens. I was on a photo tour of the Park with guide Sherri Camperchioli. I and a group of others had just left Old Faithful Inn. We arrived at Black Sand Basin as our first stop. Sherri said that this was the most beautiful sunrise she had seen in her time guiding at the Park. The rays just kept getting better and better. About 6 minutes into the shoot, Old Faithful began to erupt in the distance. The eruption lasted about 3 minutes.
