Yes, but what do you do? The work and the figure of the artist is little or nothing recognized in a country like Italy which, by contradiction, is the cradle of art and culture. "Yes, but what do you do?" it exposes the difficulty of artists to find a place in the world, a recognized position. At the basis of this work there is a self-reflective investigation of the position of the artist and artistic work in society. Why is the artist's doing and the artist himself not recognized as a social being with socio-political importance? Yet the artist exists!
