Smile -
Abuse, whether remembered late in life or carried around as if it happened yesterday, is and always be life altering. What happened to us isn't always visible to even those who love us. The scars of abuse aren't always visible. They are hidden in a corner of our minds to everyone but us. And we smile to hide the inside trauma from the world. Because we feel we must.
