12th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest People
Young Boy of the Dooze Tribe

We visited the Dooze tribe early one morning in October 2014. Though it was close to sun-rise, adults and children were in the fields, clearing weeds and planting new corn and bean plants. They work with primitive tools; it is slow, back-breaking work.
