Young Climber
The Alpine Ibex is an iconic species of the Alps. The males, with their long horns, are sort of a landmark of outdoor activities in this area of Europe. Only 150 years ago they were on the brink of extinction. It was a big pleasure for me to accidentally find a herd of seven individuals, 4 mothers with 3 young. Among the latter, the one in the photo.
