Young Coyote Pouncing

Young coyote hunting voles in a Colorado pasture. The November nights are already well below freezing and the favorite prey of coyotes, prairie dogs, are reluctant to come out until the temperature rises. The coyotes have to make do with mice and voles. This one was so intent on hunting he ignored the few vehicles passing on the road nearby.
