A decayed thick branch in a forest has all kinds of seeds growing on it throughout the summer. This dead wood had a bunch of low-lying moss, but some young grass started sprouting after a couple of days of raining. The sun came out to light the grass with a darker backdrop has created an excellent contrast of life and death in the wild. The dead has become the food source of living things, perfectly illustrating the circle of life.
