Young Grizzly Bear running on the beach
Two juvenile Grizzly Bear cubs were known to have been orphaned in the Nass Valley of northwestern British Columbia, Canada. They were old enough to have learned about eating the sedge grasses which grow in the estuary area where the Nass River meets the ocean. I was fortunate to locate these two young bears and watch them from a distance when they began playing with each other and running on the beach at low tide.
