Yunhuan Lou Kaiping
This is Yunhuan Lou in Zili Village, Kaiping, said to be built by a Malaysian Chinese returnee during the Republic of China era. According to local stories, the name “Yunhuan” reflects his unease and frustration toward the political turmoil of that time, as well as the bitterness of living as a wandering expatriate. Today, the tower still stands tall and imposing, serving as one of the symbolic landmarks of the village and quietly witnessing the passage of time.
