Tanzanian 'beach boys' are part of a daring subculture, often found on the shores of Zanzibar, where they dream of escape and adventure. With resourcefulness and courage, many stowaway on cargo ships, seeking a new life in distant lands. They trade heroic stories is one of hope and the pursuit of opportunity beyond the horizon. Yet the reality can be somewhat darker. Yusuf, was tricked by the Captain of a cargo ship in Cape Town. The crew told him he was in Europe and helped him ashore.
