14th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Zebras

Tourism dollars help maintain the habitat of animals being visited, employ citizens to reduce need for poaching or turning habitat into farms and provide income to the government for social and economic projects. These two zebras were among a herd of a couple of dozen near the road. Our driver/guide stopped the Land Cruiser to give us a close-up look.
